DSI-SA is South Africa’s leading manufacturer and supplier of strata control products to the mining sector. Furthermore, Dywidag-Systems International GmbH, who are a global leader in the supply of geotechnical products, are a shareholder of DSI-SA.
DSI-SA is situated in a 5000m2 factory in Johannesburg, located in the centre of South Africa’s mining area. DSI supplies high quality mining products to the Coal, Platinum and Diamond industries.
DSI-SA owns 80% of DSI-Mandirk Strata Support (Pty) Ltd (“DSI-Mandirk”) a black empowered company started in 2004 to manufacture and supply roof support equipment to the hard rock mining industry. DSI S.A. and DSI-Mandirk have significant supply contracts with some of the major mining houses in South Africa.
Over and above the mining products, DSI SA also supplies support products for underground tunneling for the Gautrain Project and other tunneling ventures whilst DSI-Mandirk is an agent of French based DSI-Arteon a company that manufactures construction accessories to the precast industry.
